An Evening Out for Education on Feb. 24 will feature a fantastic menu of fun

An appetizing and enjoyable opportunity for both educational and social purposes can be achieved for the communities of Bridgewater and Raritan on the evening of Friday, February 24.

It will be during that date, when the Education Foundation of Bridgewater-Raritan will sponsor its highly popular “An Evening Out for Education.”

This dinner that features a gift auction and presentation will be staged at the Somerville Elks Lodge, with a start time of 6 p.m. when cocktails (a cash bar) and the gift auction will launch the festivities.

During what is expected to be a lively affair, the guests will be educated on the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District’s Referendum 2023.

A presentation about Referendum 2023–which is scheduled to be voted on March 14, 2023–will be delivered by Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District Superintendent Bob Beers and officials from Solutions Architecture, the firm that is planning this crucial project. That portion of the evening will be held at 6:45 p.m.

A lavish buffet dinner will be served at 7 p.m., followed by the announcement of the winners of the gift auction at 8 p.m. There will be an expected large number of attractive gifts and prizes that will be at stake for a lucky guest to win.

The event is scheduled to conclude at 8:30 p.m.

According to the Education Foundation's Board of Trustees, this fundraiser event will benefit the Education Foundation, which raises valuable funds to support grants, scholarships and other school district initiatives that are not covered by the school budget. The efforts of the Education Foundation have a direct impact on the students and staff in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District.

Since its inception, the Education Foundation has provided over $1 million to the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District as a charitable 501 (c) (3) organization.

Stacey Kimmins, who is the vibrant Vice Chair for the Education Foundation, is the Event Chairperson for this gala evening.

She speaks not only for herself but for the Foundation Chair, Jim Franco, and all of the members of the Board of Trustees when she explains what a fantastic event awaits the communities on the evening of February 24.

“The Education Foundation of Bridgewater-Raritan is honored to be hosting an “An Evening Out for Education,” Ms. Kimmins said. “This fun adult night out is for parents to access the information needed to make an informed decision about the upcoming referendum vote.”

The dinner is not just for school district employees, parents and local officials, but for the entire community of both Bridgewater and Raritan.

The dinner guests will come away quite informed about the upcoming Referendum 2023.

“We are thankful to Mr. Beers and the project architects for agreeing to join our event,” Ms. Kimmins said. “And we are looking forward to bringing the Bridgewater-Raritan community together for a fabulous night to educate while also supporting the Education Foundation’s mission of providing grants, scholarships and other financial support to the BR teachers and students.”

Tickets are set for $60 per person and $100 per couple. Each guest will receive five gift auction tickets.
