Hamilton students learn while they sell their products at Market Day

Students sell what they create.

And they learn about entrepreneurship, too.

Hamilton Primary School’s Market Day was held when fellow students and staff, including Principal Tim Beaumont, were the customers who were attracted to the various items that were on sale on Friday, January 13.

“Every year the students create their inventions and sell them,” Principal Beaumont said. “Market Day encourages entrepreneurship and it is a part of the social studies curriculum.”

Another customer who visited Hamilton was Annemarie Mattia, the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District’s Director of Elementary Education.

“This is a much anticipated event,” Ms. Mattia said. “This day gives the students the opportunity to learn, such as marketing and supply and demand.”

Principal Beaumont added:

“The kids amaze us on what they create.”
