Hamilton School is a true learning community. To us, community means students, parents, and educators coming together to create an environment that is supportive, challenging, and enjoyable.

Everything we do at Hamilton School is guided by our Mission & Vision Statement, which is based on our school mascot, the Hamilton TIGER: "Together, we Inspire Greatness; through Education we Reach for Success." Our Mission & Vision Statement acknowledges our commitment to a shared goal of facilitating our students' greatness and their success.

We also aim to embody our community values as expressed in our school motto: “Stand Tall, Be Kind, and Do Your Best.” We recite this motto each day during morning announcements as a reminder to take pride in ourselves, respect others through genuine kindness, and continually strive to do our best.

Hamilton School is a special place that is home to just under 500 students. We attribute our strength to the many individuals and groups who make Hamilton School a great place to learn.

It’s our students: Hamilton School students are caring individuals who work hard and enjoy learning. They are enthusiastic children who care about each other and live our school motto. They stand tall to take pride in their individual and our collective accomplishments, are kind and respectful to their peers, and always do their best. Students develop successful habits and demonstrate their learning through various assessments, classroom events, and school-wide events.

It’s our parents: Hamilton School parents are active participants in their children’s education. Parents/Guardians communicate regularly with their child about school and with their child’s teacher about his or her academic and social progress. They also get involved through the many wonderful endeavors of the PTO or by contacting a school staff member with a creative new initiative or idea. Parents/Guardians have done everything from organize a Walk-a-thon fundraiser to volunteer their time and energy in our school library to start service learning projects that teach valuable life lessons to children.

It’s our staff: Hamilton School staff members are truly devoted to our children and making sure that their experience is the best it can be. We strive to provide an optimal learning setting with an appropriate level of challenge for each student in a positive school environment. Teachers at Hamilton School understand that each student is an individual who brings his or her own interests, talents, and areas of need to the classroom. As an educational team, we differentiate instruction in a way that is strategic, employ a variety of approaches to reach each learner, and have high expectations for all students. Hamilton teachers routinely participate in focused professional development to enhance their implementation of the district curriculum. They also connect with students outside of the classroom through events like the Hamilton Community Breakfast and the Staff Volleyball Game. Both of these events contribute to our sense of being a community that comes together to celebrate being a Hamilton Tiger!

It’s all of us together: We are a community and continually look for ways to bring students, parents, and staff members together. The PTO, school staff, and children embrace ideas that allow us to learn and grow as we enjoy each other’s company and focus on student achievement.
