Day three of the BRMS Week of Respect, brought Superheros standing up to bullying. Students participated in a Super Hero Spirit day, and participated in a lesson where they acted out scenarios where they learned to advocate others.

Day two of our BRMS "Week of Respect" began with a prompt during homeroom. Students were asked to "Describe how you show respect" in 1-3 words. From there the words were entered into a word bubble to share with all BRMS students an idea of what respect looks like toward one another.

Week of Respect-Monday October 27, 2024
BRMS students participated in an activity of "throwing out the trash of disrespectful behavior." Students were asked to identify and write down what respect means to them and what that looks like. Students were also asked to write examples of disrespectful behavior that they have witnessed and how it impacts our school community. Once that was completed, the students symbolically "threw the disrespect in the trash" . The responses were collected in a clear garbage bag, and will be displayed as the "trash" we want to remove from our school community.
Additionally, students participated in a "Put Bullying to Bed " pajama spirit day, and received positive affirmation bracelets in homeroom.
