Hamilton Primary School's Rushank Kumar, a 4th-grade student in the AI program, won the Diplomat Chess semi-annual chess tournament that was held at the Pingry School on Saturday, September 21.
Rushank placed first in the K- 6 Under 700 rating category after playing four rounds of tournament matches.
Rushank's victory also ensured that Hamilton Primary School won first place in the school team rankings. Rushank was awarded an individual trophy and a trophy for the school.
