Sales were robust and flowing at the Hamilton Primary School on the morning of Friday, January 17.
The students replaced their books and pencils and opened up shop with their creative items to sell during the Hamilton 4th Grade Market Day.
These 4th Grade salespersons went to work on bargain-minded customers in the five Grade 4 classrooms.
One of the 4th Grade Teachers, Tara Trabb, was impressed with the thrifty shoppers and persuasive salespersons.
“This is a great economic experience for the students to learn how to spend money and how to show a profit,” Ms. Trabb explained.
Stacie Griswold, Hamilton’s energetic Elementary Teaching Specialist, gave her take on the thriving sales that were on display and the sound lesson learned by these sharp salespersons.
“The students showed off their creativity and entrepreneurial skills during Market Day.
"Market Day allowed students to put their learning into practice by creating their own products and marketing strategies that they learned in their Social Studies Economy Unit,’’ Ms. Griswold said.
