How important are bragging rights between three Primary Schools in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District?
The recent scene and atmosphere inside the gymnasium at the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School provides that answer—very important indeed.
On a cold Friday, January 23, evening, the Middle School gym was warm with energy, enthusiasm and plain excitement.
The annual Tri-School Volleyball Tournament was on stage when the Adamsville Primary School, the Hamilton Primary School, and the Crim Primary School challenged each other to win the coveted 2025 trophy.
The round-robin tournament, sponsored by the Parent Teacher Organizations (PTO) from Adamsville, Crim, and Hamilton, contained rosters of staff members from each of the three schools.
Once the action was concluded, Adamsville edged Crim, 25-23, in the championship game to secure the 2025 trophy. That result was the second championship in three years for Adamsville. Hamilton was the defending champion.
A very happy Adsmsville Principal, Dr. James Singagliese, reported on the evening’s festivities.
“The Middle School was filled with excitement and anticipation as students, parents/guardians, staff, and community members from Adamsville, Crim and Hamilton came together to witness the annual Tri-School Volleyball tournament,” Principal Singagliese said. “This much-awaited event is a wonderful opportunity for our students to gather and interact before moving on to intermediate schools. This tournament is a highlight of the year, and this year's tournament did not disappoint.”
He also stated:
“The atmosphere was electric as each school cheered on their representatives, creating an unforgettable experience for all in attendance. The games were close and intense, with each team showing great skill and determination. The Adamsville Eagles and the Crim Colts had an especially thrilling match, with the Eagles narrowly pulling out the 25-23 victory.”
His colleague, Hamilton Principal Tim Beaumont, offered his compliments to the school that denied Hamiltonn from repeating as the champion.
“Congratulations to Adamsville on winning the tournament,” Principal Beaumont said. “And an honorable mention to Crim for defeating Hamilton despite having a depleted team due to multiple illnesses and injuries. A great time was had by everyone involved nonetheless!
Principal Singagliese focused on the people who put in the effort to support this wonderful evening.
“ The success of the Tri-School Volleyball tournament can be attributed to the hard work and dedication of the PTOs from each school,” Principal Singagliese said. “Their tireless efforts ensure that our students have an amazing experience and create memories that will last a lifetime. The support and enthusiasm from the community members were also crucial to the success of the event, and we are grateful for their unwavering support.”
He added:
“In conclusion, the annual Tri-School Volleyball tournament was a resounding success, providing a wonderful opportunity for students from Adamsville, Crim, and Hamilton to come together and have a great time. The close games and spirited competition made for an unforgettable experience, and we look forward to continuing this tradition in the years to come.”
A trophy—and bragging rights—are now the ownership of the Adamsville Primary School.
