Hamilton 4th grade chorus concert

The growth and development of the 4th Grade Chorus students at the Hamilton Primary School were on full display on both Tuesday, April 8, and Wednesday, April 9.

Hamilton’s Chorus Concert was a spectacular show that both schoolmates enjoyed on the first day, and then families and friends were entertained the following morning.

The 4th Grade students who presented this robust concert were a product of the devotion and lessons delivered by Hamiton’s Choir Director and Music Teacher, Rina Sklar.

“I'm so proud of the students. They did a fantastic job,” Ms. Sklar said. “I challenged them a lot this year with difficult music and held them to a very high standard, and they excelled at all of it!”

“They got to perform for their families (April 9) and for the entire school (April 8),” she added.

There was a time when these 4th Graders were younger and looked up to their older schoolmates who sang.

Now, these 4th-grade choir students serve as role models.

Ms. Sklar has experienced just that.

“I wanted to share one of my favorite parts of yesterday's (April 8) concert: I loved hearing the reactions from the younger students in the school who got to watch it. They were so excited to see the 4th Graders perform and could not stop talking about how wonderful the show was,” she revealed. “ I love seeing how our oldest students get to "plant the seeds" to help create our future musical performers! It's one important thing that has allowed our programs to be able to grow and be as successful as they are! “

An added attraction to the multi-purpose room at Hamilton, where the concert was performed, was an exhibit of artwork.

“Also, special thanks to Christina Rosania, our Art Teacher, who set up a display of our 4th Graders artwork to decorate our performance space! It added a really nice touch to the concert and I know the parents loved seeing the artwork,’ Ms. Sklar said.

She concluded about her 4th Grade Chorus students.

“It's amazing to see how far they've come from only seeing them behind a computer screen in Kindergarten to the amazing 4th graders they are now!”
