The Martinsville Volunteer Fire Department paid a call to the Hamilton Primary School on Friday morning, October 10.
The firefighters explained their duties, encouraged the students on how to respond when a fire erupts, and displayed their equipment and trucks.
"Our kindergarten and 1st grade students thoroughly enjoyed today's visit from our friends at Martinsville Volunteer Fire Department," said Hamilton Principal Tim Beaumont. "The children were excited to have the opportunity to inspect the fire trucks and equipment, and to hear about fire safety. This annual event is always one of the highlights of our year!"
