Hamilton walk

What a beautiful October day to stretch your legs and take a walk.

That is what the students and staff just did on the morning of Wednesday, October 15, on the blacktop area on the side of the Hamilton Primary School.

The stroll was planned–and the weather cooperated—when Hamilton held its annual Walk-A-thon.

This form of exercise was sponsored once again by the Hamilton Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).

“This gives the children exercise and fresh air while they are raising funds for the school,” Vicky Marabondo, who is the Vice President of Chairs, said. “The students get to walk around with their friends. It is a fun day.”

Students are sponsored by adults through donations, which will go towards funding events throughout the school year.

One walker who enjoyed the day was Hamilton principal Tim Beaumont.

“We thank the PTO for holding this walk,” Principal Beaumont said. “It is great to see the students out here and raise money for our wonderful PTO.”
