The students produced splendid sounds with their voices and instruments.
The 4th Grade Chorus Concert was performed at the Hamilton Primary School during the morning of Tuesday, March 17, during a school-wide assembly, and then the morning of Wednesday, March 18, when family and friends filled the school’s all-purpose room.
The force behind these spectacular performances was Rina Sklar, Hamilton’s energetic and passionate Music Teacher.
The concert was outstanding! The students did such an amazing job! I'm especially proud of the premiere of the new Hamilton School song I wrote for our Vision & Mission statement,” Ms. Sklar claimed.
“Students sang this song and played it on soprano recorders, and then performed it again, accompanied by a 3-part drumming arrangement (15 drummers), bass guitar, bass recorder, and piano,’ she said. “ALL played by 4th Grade students!”
Ms. Sklar added:
“It was wonderful.”
"It was a joy to witness the talent of our 4th Grade class at the annual Chorus Concert! The students' dedication and their ability to navigate an eclectic repertoire highlight the stellar guidance of our Music Teacher, Rina Sklar,” Hamilton Principal Tim Beaumont said.
An additional feature during the concerts was the display of the self-portraits that were crafted by the 4th Grade students, an exhibit coordinated by Hamilton Art Teacher Christina Rosania
“ Parents and staff were also wowed by the multimedia student self-portraits, expertly displayed by Art Teacher, Mrs. Rosania,’ Principal Beaumont said. Here in Bridgewater-Raritan, we are proud that the arts continue to be celebrated as a vital part of our students' development!”
